Every state stands tall and unthreatened courtesy to the knights in shining armor who hold down the ground against the enemies’ power, with all their might.
The Indian subcontinent too has such great powerful knights of its very own. The most effective difference is, they do not put on the ones glinting armors. Instead, those knights sport camo-prints and put on one of these shows of amazement that is matched only some out there.
Their activity profile isn’t always something you would see very frequently. You will find them setting up their houses within the maximum far away areas of the Country, or somewhere with a harsh climate, marking their territories and guard over it, in a case its borders are threatened.
These are the males and females who form the Indian Armed Forces, and they are the purpose that we can compare ourselves with the international memes stuff. But how many times have we stopped to wonder about the many life-threatening challenges and assaults these superheroes have to face on an everyday basis, so we get to birthday party till it’s four in the morning or it’s a very good night sleep?
But there was someone who thought about this all. And determined to convey the unseen part of their journey for the people to know. A travel photographer Arjun Menon is the person at the back of the AMAZING display of these heroes in their environment, doing what they do best.
He(Arjun)had an amazing change to show how a day in the life of these superheroes looks like, and he spent weeks following them in their journey of amazing topography of Mother India. The end result turned into ‘An Extraordinary‘ picture-collection and the pictures are for all to look and ponder over.
This is a hard assignment to perform and we can think about what and how Arjun gave it a chance. If you ask this question to Arjun he could tell you that ‘The Extraordinary‘ become his personal favorite assignment. Before you are surprised why it is so, the real thing is that Arjun himself comes from an Army historical past.
Arjun’s father turned into a pilot with the Indian Army Aviation, and ever since his childhood it would make him proud, that his father could even fly a heavy, mean system high up in the skies, performing combat training or assisting out paratroopers jump off his helicopter, and many other things.
Arjun lost his father in a helicopter crash sixteen years ago, and to bring this fact of the Indian Army to the world, the most effective method he knew was – photography.
Once Arjun decided what he wanted to obtain by this task, he set into his plans. For Arjun, the aim of this project turned out to explore and throw mild at the remarkable summit those women and men accomplish all through their time, without thinking about any credit or appreciation.
The Final Journey
Arjun set out to make his dreams come true and sought chances to follow and record the Indian Army Squads in motion – either practicing or in pseudo-combats. But initially, the Indian Army wasn’t too good with the idea about giving in to Arjun’s needs of being despatched to secret bases to click on the photographs.
It took more than one visits to Delhi and a few convincing to make them believe that Arjun’s dreams were proper.
Next? Arjun got to tour to exclusive confidential bases across India to record all of it. Arjun shot in some very difficult places, and the squads absolutely cooperated with Arjun to bring each of his visions to existence.
Having spent a lot of personal time with the army-men, clicking the photos and looking at their routine up close, Arjun released how superb every one of them is. From temperatures ranging among -18 Centigrade to 48 Centigrade, and in topographies that would make an ordinary man or woman give up in minutes, these superheroes continue to perform their duty without a word of grievance.
A lot of hard work and love has long gone into this challenge, and all Arjun desires to accomplish through this collection is to encourage the youth of this country to recall the Indian Army as a career choice. That he says, might be his “challenge performed”.
These men and women sacrifice a lot just keep us safe and sound. This year let’s give them a tribute with being thankful to them forever. And great valor by Arjun Menon for performing such an amazing job.
